A perfectly balanced mix of melodic Complextro/Electro House and Synthwave, both elements which have always been present in M.A.D.E.S' work. Following his “Return” EP released in summer 2016, M.A.D.E.S is back with yet another release. “Awakening” marks the end of an era for the French artist and the beginning of a new one. M.A.D.E.S’ talent for creating atmosphere and narratives through his compositions and melodies has always been apparent in his music and in “Awakening” he finally lets his creative impulses run wild, taking his music into its natural conclusion. Leaving behind his Electro House and Complextro beginnings, “Awakening” serves as the first chapter of M.A.D.E.S’ ascend into the New Retro and Dark Synthwave sound. Joining him are the JST newcomers Knightbots with “The Hound”. A groovy, dark and action packed Indie Dance original combining an 80’s mood with French Electro sound and a hard edge. M.A.D.E.S' ascension into the (dark) Synthwave scene continues and just before his debut LP, a team of some of the most pomising new talent from around the world is assembled to remix his latest single "Awakening". Fellow Frenchmen Absolute Valentine and Niky Nine, UK based occult master Occams Laser, Argentina's undisputed super-talent Donbor and Spanish trio Knightbots are on remixing duties and are undoubtedly adding their own personal touch to M.A.D.E.S' original.

After spending most of the summer locked away in a studio somewhere in France, M.A.D.E.S is back and ready for action with the first single from his upcoming debut LP (out winter 2018).
“Nightkiller” is a dark, riff driven, yet melodic Synthwave original song dealing with the themes of nightmares, murder and things that go bumping in the night, showcasing the French artist’s ability to create atmosphere and narrate his own stories through his music. A suspenseful drive through neon lit scenery leading into some pretty unfortunate results for the protagonists, as the accompanying music video very successfully depicts.
But that’s not all because M.A.D.E.S has even brought in some reinforcements too, with Denmark’s dark Synthwave powerhouse Daniel Deluxe and the incredibly talented newcomer Wice remixing “Nightkiller” and delivering their own versions of M.A.D.E.S’ original.

Having experimented with various sub-genres of Electronic music under different project names, M.A.D.E.S takes the French artist's love for creating retro-futuristic music and atmospheric themes into its natural conclusion, Synthwave. Narrative driven melodic compositions, powerful synths and engaging concepts are some of M.A.D.E.S’ characteristics but never rule out surprises.
