400 DAYS Directed by Matt Osterman is a psychological sci-fi film centering on four astronauts who are sent on a simulated mission to a distant planet to test the psychological effects of deep space travel. Locked away for 400 days, the crew’s mental state begins to deteriorate when they lose all communication with the outside world. Forced to exit the ship, they discover that this mission may not have been a simulation after all.
“This score was created to set the general mood and atmosphere, especially for the first half of the film,” said Golczewski. “It’s claustrophobic, dizzy and brings all that stuff that can happen while you're locked for so long in small space with few other people to the surface. That is what I tried to underline with the music.”

Reality Check is a concept album compiled of material composed and inspired by Wojciechs various work for the motion pictures. It can be described as a horror sci fi soundtrack with influences from his previous demoscene and chiptune heritage together with more recent synthwave and electronica. The album comes on a cassette with artwork from the very talented Marie Bergeron from Montreal.
Reality Check will also be available on other formats through Death Waltz. If you are not familiar with Wojciechs previous demoscen work, we strongly recommend that you check out the music disk Whispers released by Razor 1911 back in 2002.

Polish Film and TV composer, Wojciech Golczewski, delivers his second solo album End of Transmission hot on the heels of his first, Reality Check. Blending his knowledge of film scoring and modern electronic music he created an alluring musical collection that takes the listener on a metaphorical journey through space. Golczewski says, “End of Transmission is about minimal approach and maximum effect of clean sound traveling through space. It’s made entirely with only Minimoog and VSTi Emulator software. I tried not to overcomplicate things although it somehow feels cinematic not unlike my film scores.”

Wojciech Golczewski's score for Jackson Stewart's indie horror cult film Beyond The Gates is a synth driven homage to horror music in the early days of VHS. It saw Golczewski getting a 2nd consecutive nomination for the Fngoria Chainsaw Award - Best Score. For Golczewski fans, who enjoyed his compositions for movies like Tonight She Comes and Dark Souls, Beyond The Gates is a must.

Born in 1980, Wojciech Golczewski is a polish composer who began writing music in his teenage years. Though he studied fine arts, both at an arts high school and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, he decided to focus his professional efforts entirely on music.
Golczewski’s musical career started in the European demoscene, an art subculture where artists show off their programming and musical skills. Following a career in composing for video games including PlayStation 3 titles like LINGER IN SHADOWS and DATURA, the composer scored his first feature film with ERASER CHILDREN, an Australian sci-fi. His other recent scores include the Norwegian thriller DARK SOULS, the Icelandic crime thriller CITY STATE, werewolf film LATE PHASES and last year’s WE ARE STILL HERE, which was nominated for the 2016 Fangoria Chainsaw Award for the Best Horror Score.
