Карьера Marascia началась в середине 90-ых с сотрудничества с несколькими независимыми лейблами. Среди его первых экспериментов в области house-музыки очень высокой оценки среди мировых критиков заслужил релиз The land of rhythm EP, после чего его имя прочно закрепилось во всех музыкальных чартах и плей-листах ди-джеев. Ему сразу же предлагают сделать ремиксы на треки Todd Terry, John Aquaviva и Richie Hawtin, которые издаются на легендарных лейблах Illegal и Strictly Rhythm.
Но только в 1997 году Marascia начинает издавать настоящие хиты. Когда был выпущен Ride on the Rhythm под именем Blackwood, он сразу же занял первую строчку итальянских и мировых чартов. То же самое произошло и с его My love for you и Peace.
Новую декаду он начал с работы на лейбле Sound4group, где издаёт треки с более перкуссионным звучанием, смесью электро и трайбла, что становится настоящим трендом для андеграунд-сцены того времени. В результате появляются такие композиции, как Chemical attraction и Genetically changed.
Далее следует совместный проект с Kortezman - The Rumbar, и они издают трек A bailar mi gente на таких лейблах, как Emi, Virgin, Global Productions и New Records. Его стиль становится настолько узнаваем, что релизы Marascia в стиле tribal house становятся единственными, которые попадают в танцевальные чарты (более 10 недель в Deejay parade), что было своего рода революцией в танцевальном мире.

After he popped in on Boxer 053 together with Dusty Kid, Marascia now comes solo around the often quoted and praised corner. And in his record case, he is carrying two cocky prime time smashers that will put a smile on everybody's face. Spectacular! NOVA and NIMPHO.
Marascia is known for remixes he did for legends such as Todd Terry, John Aquaviva and Richie Hawtin. And even though he did it in the 1990, it says a lot about the material this guy is made of: finest, precious wood from Italy.
Precious wood is characterised by a beautiful and strong colouring, striking contrasts, breathtaking grain and other distinctive features compared to the "ordinary" looking wood. Other particularities are its heavy weight, a high density, vermin resistance, rarity, high value or a high subjective esteem.
Altogether characteristics that - if transferred onto his music - would produce amazing interfaces.
And now it's up to you to decide whether Marascia really is a precious wood or just a numbskull.

Italian DeeJay, MARASCIA started his artistic career in the mid 90s working for some independent labels such as ACV and Under Control. As a remixer he has been asked to remix tracks by big names such as TODD TERRY, JOHN AQUAVIVA and RICHIE HAWTIN on legendary labels such as Illegal and Strictly Rhythm. MARASCIA has also released on Boxer Recordings, Dee-P-erfect and Lickin' Records. This is MARASCIA's debut release on Gigolo and it's a powerful 12" that's sure to rock you from head to toe.
The slamming single kicks off with the raucous electro romp that is Rayn. Tight beats and caustic synth sounds make this a heavy-weight tune that is ideal for playing out late on when the club is pumping. MARASCIA captures on vinyl that unique energy that is guaranteed to make the party happen. His style is instantly recognisable and MARASCIA is the only artist that ever entered the dance charts (over 10 weeks on the Deejay parade) with tribal house tracks creating a sort of little revolution in the dance scene. In 2002 Marascia released Shake It - a track that was to be one of the most played dance tracks of that year and received air-time on all the major Italian radio networks (radio Deejay, kiss kiss network, radio Italia network) and finally reached number 8 in the American Billboard dance chart. B-side of the new 12", Leggy is bound to raise the roof whenever it gets dropped on the dance-floor. MARASCIA mixes an irresistible groove with powerful atmospherics, the result is an explosive mix of electro sound and tribal atmospheres that made tracks like Rayn and Leggy a new step in dance music. The digital release contains bonus track Rotten 2008 which is also most worthy of attention.
MARASCIA has already caught the ear of DJs such as LAURENT GARNIER, ZOO BRAZIL and JOHN DIGWEED with previous releases. He recently released a 12", Sawless/Sineless, together with DUSTY KID on Systematic Recordings which also went down well. So kudos to HELL for enlisting the young Italians skills for International Deejay Gigolo Records. MARASCIA is an international phenomenon that cannot be stopped.
