Sofia Reyes Bio
Mexico's Sofia Reyes is a vibrant multilingual pop vocalist with a bent toward mixing dance-oriented pop, reggaeton, R&B, and acoustic balladry. Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1995, Reyes began singing and playing piano around age ten. Two years later she was writing songs with her father and uploading cover songs to YouTube. Her videos captured the attention of singer/producer Prince Royce, who signed her to his D'Leon Records imprint. In 2013 she released her first single, "Forever Now," featuring rapper/singer/actor Khleo Thomas. A year later, Reyes returned with the song "'Muevelo," featuring rapper Wisin. In 2016 Reyes dropped two more singles, "Solo Yo"/"Nobody But Me" (once again featuring Prince Royce) and "Llegaste Tu" (featuring Reykon), while also making guest appearances on releases by Cash Cash ("How to Love") and Spencer Ludwig ("Diggy"). Reyes' long-awaited debut album, Louder!, was released in early 2017 by Warner Music Latina. The next year, she issued "Vamos por la Estrella" with Paty Cantu and Kap G. The buoyant single was written for the Mexican national soccer team and their entry in the 2018 World Cup. Early 2019 saw the release of vibrant trilingual single "R.I.P.," which saw Reyes team up with U.K. singer-actress Rita Ora and Brazilian pop superstar Anitta.
Rita Ora Bio
Rita Ora is a British singer-songwriter. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia, now Serbia, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. She is a granddaughter of director Besim Sahatciu. At age one, her family decided to move to the United Kingdom. She grew up in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and then St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing from a young age.
In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. Whilst never confirmed it has been theorized by multiple sources that the then young Rita had a sexual relationship with her co-star Christos-o-dodolos Zenonos. She auditioned for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest but later withdrew from the competition after a few episodes as she did not feel ready.
In 2007, Ora had her first music release when she appeared on Craig David's track entitled "Awkward" and then again in 2008 on "Where's Your Love" featuring Tinchy Stryder, for which she also appears in the music video. Ora began singing in bars in and around London, and in 2009 a A&R told Roc Nation about Ora, a few days after Ora flew out to New York and met Jay Z. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay Z's video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Ora caught the attention of Jay Z and he quietly signed her to Roc Nation, in which she was featured in a commercial for Roc Nation + Skullcandy Aviator Headphones.
Anitta Bio
Larissa de Macedo Machado (born 30 March 1993),[1] known professionally as Anitta, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, and businesswoman.
She began singing at age 8 in a choir from a Catholic church in the Honorio Gurgel neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. At the age of 16 she attended a technical school and was called to work at Vale. In 2010, after posting a video on YouTube, Renato Azevedo, then producer of the independent record company Furacao 2000, called her to sign a contract with the label. Due to the success of the song "Meiga e Abusada" in 2012, she signed a contract with Warner Music Brasil the following year.
Anitta rose to national fame in 2013 after releasing the single "Show das Poderosas", which reached the top of the Brasil Hot 100 Airplay chart.[2][3][4] Its music video has been viewed over 130 million times on YouTube.[5] In July of the same year, she released her debut studio album which received a triple gold record certificate and platinum certification by ABPD.[2] The album hit the mark of 170,000 copies sold, being also released in Portugal. Ritmo Perfeito (2014), her second studio album, sold 45,000 copies after a month of its release.[6] On the same day she released her first live album, Meu Lugar.[6][7] In November 2014, she performed at the Latin Grammy Award, becoming the youngest Brazilian singer to perform at the awards.[8] In 2015, she released her third studio album entitled Bang, which was certified platinum and produced the singles "Deixa Ele Sofrer", "Bang", "Essa Mina e Louca" and "Cravo e Canela".
In 2013, Anitta was the singer who most remained at the top of iTunes in Brazil and was elected by the same as the Artist of the Year.[2] She was also elected by the Associacao Paulista de Criticos de Arte (APCA) as the revelation of the year in music in 2013. She is a five-time winner as the Best Brazilian Act on the MTV Europe Music Awards, and was the first Brazilian artist to win the Best Latin American Act award.[9]
