Во всю мощь бухают барабаны, что-то крайне серьезным голосом говорят мужики и, надрываясь, голосят тетки. Это, дорогие мои, звучит американский хаус! Причем самого высокого класса и качества! Это легендарный американский лейбл Twisted Records сподобился набрать самых-самых своих выдающихся треков и уместить все это на два компакт-диска. Правда, выдающихся треков оказалось больше, и эта компиляция вышла под номером один, значит, можно надеяться на продолжение. Хотя даже этот диск уже очень хорошо дает представление о том, что же такое Twisted, хвалебная американская хаус-культура (с приставкой «андерграундная» - без этого ныне никак) и трайбл-хаус.
Если кто не знает, то Twisted Records (просьба не путать с английским лейблом, выпускающим музыку психоделическог толка) - это очень уважаемая в кругу ценителей хаус-музыки контора, которая занимается выпуском далеко не слащавой музыки с мрачным техноидальным уклоном, и имеет целую философию и прочие необходимые ингредиенты для правильного лейбла. Да и названию лейбла (“twisted” на сленге обозначает состояние человека под воздействием наркотических средств) вся эта музыка соответствует вполне. Черт его знает, но почему-то именно такой и представляется настоящая хаус-музыка из Америки. Ну, сами посудите, какой еще может быть танцевальная музыка в стране, где кругом звучит слащавый хип-хоп, на уши выливаются ушаты елея, и все вертится вокруг денег и хит-парадов?!
В свой первый «отчет» начальник лейбла - известный человек Роб ди Стефано (Rob di Stefano) - постарался подобрать наиболее известные треки, которые на сто процентов ассоциируются с Twisted и хаусом нью-йоркских клубов. А что такое нью-йоркская хаус-музыка? Это либо очень вокальный и слащавый хаус, либо мрачноватый, с кучей барабанов и до невозможности танцевальный. Вот заглавный трек с этой компиляции - “Be Yourself”, записанный Тенаглией совместно с человеком неопределенногопола по имени Celeda, - это яркий пример подобного рода музыки. Глубокий бас, именно что клубный вокал с клубной же, гм, поэзией, и ритм, который взывает в каждой частице вашего тела к танцам и веселому времяпрепровождению. Трек был гимном знаменитых вечеринок Тенаглии “Be Yourself” и полностью передает атмосферу тех ночей. Другие треки, представленные на сборнике, от “Be Yourself” не отстают. Ни в легендарности (тут достаточно сказать что есть “Elements” все того же Тенаглии), ни в танцевальности (вот вам, пожалуйста, “Dark Beat” от Oscar G & Ralph Falcon) ни в известности (“The Revolution” от Superchumbo). Все представленные треки настолько выдержаны в одном стиле, что после прослушивания многие уже смогут считать себя ценителями некоммерческогоамериканского хауса.
Такую музыку надо слушать на очень большой громкости, в очень хорошем клубе, находясь среди людей, которые собрались в одном месте с одной целью - танцевать. Одно плохо: треки представлены в полных версиях и не сведены между собой, что у многих, привыкших слушать не отдельные треки, но полноценные миксы, вызовет некий дискомфорт. Хотя лучшей подборки с такого рода музыкой назвать сложно. Иначе как классической эту компиляцию назвать сложно.
