Another Trauma 14. Bastards 15. Directionless 16. The River Song (you asked for it. not the greatest version, but hey, it's only the second time I've ever even tried playing it acoustically...) --------------------------------------- Please note: I have edited the majority of my storytelling/talking out of these performances. I'm sorry as I know this helped make these nights even more special for many of you but I have a number reasons for this, both personal and technical, and I hope you understand… Before I explain I just want to say that although I've edited out most of the talking on the individual recordings someone made a great suggestion of gathering together a nice coherent collection of the song-meanings/stories from across the concerts and making that available for people to download if they so wish. I think that's a great idea and have already started putting together some of the more sincere/funny moments from the tour recordings. But for now let me get back to these recordings and my reasons for editing the performances. Firstly the technical: As many of the shows were well over 2 hours long and with my rambling chit-chat sometimes contributing as much as 30mins (if not more) to the overall running time, the inclusion of said rambling chit-chat was making the digital files too large to upload to the Bandcamp server. (Technical: Before compression all the files were well over 1GB and while even via a special arrangement with Bandcamp they still only allow a maximum file size of 600MB) Secondly some of my monologues were nearly 10 minutes long and while I know that in amongst those many vignettes of my day to day life there were a few moments verging on the profoundly sublime, sadly the truth is that (and it breaks my heart to admit this…) not all of it was even very interesting. Funny? Yes. But interesting? Hmmm. And as such this made it very difficult to edit out the meaningful from the mundane. And while all of you should be well aware by now that I have no problem exhibiting the mundanity of my life night after night - I mean that is life, right? Some meaningful but sadly, unless you're one of the lucky few, mostly mundane moments of day to day existence. Just getting by. Trying to draw the happiness we find closer to our heart while holding the hurt and the fear and the pain at bay… See? This is what I mean. I am on stage as I am in life… Ramble ramble ramble. Anyway… I just found that meaningful story-telling aside, the stops and starts, the silly observations, Homer Simpson anecdotes or the minutes of waiting for triple-shots of tequila to wind their way through to the stage, these things, amongst others, didn't make for a very nice listening experience and just detracted from the whole purpose of the recordings which was for you too hear the songs recorded live. Those were some of the most wonderful nights as a singer, as a songwriter, as an artist, as a person, I've ever experienced and I just hope you that can hold onto those memories like I will. The songs are the songs. And that's what I've given you here. And each night I felt we shared a lot more than just the music. There was happiness and sadness and laughter and tears and, well… those… those moments? They were just for us. And now, recordings or no recordings, they are part of your life too and that makes me happy to know. I've never been one for pictures. If something is worth remembering it will always have a place in my heart. Thank you all again for coming down and helping to make these such special evenings. I sincerely hope you enjoy the recordings… Robin credits released 04 July 2011 Recorded and mixed by Jan Loewenhaupt. Edited by Robin Proper-Sheppard. Sophia - 2011 - At Home With Sophia... The atmosphere was magic and the sound amazing. The priest sat at the side of the stage for the entire concert and I remember looking over to him as the church bells rang out during Is It Any Wonder and he just raised his hands to the sky and smiled. That was certainly one of those special moments... 1. Heartache 2. Where Are You Now 3. Ship In The Sand 4. Something 5. If Only 6. Another Friend 7. Every Day 8. If A Change Is Gonna Come 9. I Left You 10. Within Without 11. Lost 12. So Slow 13. Directionless 14. Is It Any Wonder (Church Bells) 15. Another Trauma 16. The Death Of A Salesman --------------------------------------- Please note: I have edited the majority of my storytelling/talking out of these performances. There Are No Goodbyes --------------------------------------- Please note: I have edited the majority of my storytelling/talking out of these performances. I sincerely hope you enjoy the recordings… Robin Sophia - 2011 - At Home With Sophia... Konstanz, Germany 7-5-2010 01. Konstanz, Germany 7-5-2010 (88:03) Продолжительность:01:28:03

I hope you enjoy them and more to come. And please feel free to make any song requests by sending an email to: athomewithsophia (a) theflowershoprecordings (dot) com See you soon.
