(Alternative, Electronic, Indie) VA - College Radio Day: The Album, Vol. 2 - 2013, MP3, 320 kbps

Creating records crafted with the spirit of college radio - to help raise funds for, and raise the profile of, college radio stations. The label is mostly run by passionate students who are involved with college radio and LOVE music.
College Radio Day Records is a new record label where students make the decisions. College Radio Day Records is almost entirely run by students who are college radio DJs across the USA. They have never met each other in person, but through social media they have formed a 'Sound Board' to discuss and pick music for this year's album.
CONTEXT: Last year was the second annual College Radio Day – bringing together nearly 600 college radio stations to celebrate the importance of college radio. It was a huge success, creating major media coverage (Coldplay's Chris Martin launched it as well) and raising the profile of college radio.
As you may also know, last year we released the first ever ‘College Radio Day - The Album 2012’. Artists such as The Civil Wars, We Are Scientists, Delta Spirit, Blues Traveler, The Maine, Soul Khan, Umphrey’s McGee, The Front Bottoms and many more kindly donated tracks to this charity album that was critically praised for its great music and worthy cause (see the Hollywood Reporter article).
Now we are putting together our second album - to raise funds for college radio stations and to show the world that college radio continues to be a vibrant and important tastemaker!
WE NEED YOUR HELP! The release date is November 12, 2013.
Your funds will allow us to manufacture and distribute the physical double-CD album to as many college radio stations as we can in the USA. Your funds will specifically help pay for the audio mastering, album artwork, legal fees, marketing, physical pressing and then mailing of the album. All songs on the album have been generously donated by the artists.
This album features TWO discs. Disc 1 features well known artists publicly standing with college radio. Disc 2 features the best college radio performances across the USA from many unsigned artists. Many college radio stations submitted performances to be considered for the album. So far we can confirm the following college radio stations have been selected:
WPSC (William Paterson University)
WICB (Ithaca College)
WIXQ (Millersville University)
UTA Radio (University of Texas at Arlington)
KXLU (Loyola Marymount University)
WSCS (Colby-Sawyer College)
WIUX (Indiana University)
We can already confirm that Wilco and Passenger have signed to be on this year’s album along with Lucius, Jukebox the Ghost and The Front Bottoms. We expect to announce even more excellent artists' involvement soon!
The finished album will be distributed to college radio stations throughout the USA on November 12.
