These words can define the feelings that ZINUMM want to express with the music included on this first album. It´s also the title of the last song included in this LP, released this next october the 9th via DARKWOODS RECORDS ( www.darkwoods.eu ) and in digital format via BANDCAMP.
Z I N V M M is a not one man project, is an open collective of musicians who cooperate around the idea of making intense and epic music, but this record was built by one person, the one who leads the concepts and ideas behind this project that, in this album, plays black metal musically influenced by the classic bands of the genre (Bathory, Burzum, Darkthrone, Ulver…) and by ancient European folk tradition. All songs are sang and written in Irish Gaelic, language that was spoken in Galicia a long, long time ago.
The person behind this project composed, arranged, played, recorded and mixed the whole album. This 1st record includes a tribute Quorthon, a pioneer in this type of music. Z I N V M M recorded a reinterpretation of "A fine day to die", song included in Bathory´s "Blood, fire, death", album that definitively is an influence to Z I N V M M´s concept.
Everything on this record has it sense, everything that sounds here has a reason to sound in the precise moment that it sounds. This record has been in mind of its creator since more than fifteen years ago.

Main inspiration for "Ambient works, vol. 2" are sonic sculptures, land art, and artists like Richard Serra, Alan Lamb or Tonkin Liu.
"Vlissingen" is the name of a city in Holland where you can visit a magnificient piece of art. The Vlissingen Wind Organ, a sonic sculpture which sounds recorded by Klank Beeld are included in this piece.

obishome is the name of the werewolf in Galicia, as you can find its legend in tons of ancient northern tales. His pain, his sorrow, his memories, and also his freedom.
Z I N V M M also wants to make a mention to these people who burnt the woods known as Fragas do Eume for their own interests. Hope they someday, suffer the same pain they caused.
The lyrics in this album are inspired by Emilio Celso Ferreiro´s poem "Tenho o corazón senlleiro" and specially in Claudia Cives poem "Ouveos". Thanks Claudia for giving her kind permission.

"Beith" corresponds to the letter "B" in the Ogham alphabet.
The Ogham alphabet is thought to be named after the Irish god Ogma. One theory of its origins is that it evolved out of a system of tallies used for accounting. Ogham is also known as or ogham craobh, beth luis fearn or beth luis nion.
About 500 Ogham inscriptions have been found in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England and the Isle of Man dating from between the 4th and 7th centuries AD. There are inscriptions in ancient Irish and Pictish which have not been deciphered. A number of bilingual inscriptions in Ogham and Latin or Ogham and Old Norse written with the Runic alphabet have been found.
While all surviving traces of Ogham are inscriptions on stone, it was probably more commonly inscribed on sticks, stakes and trees. Inscriptions generally take the form of somebody's name and the name of a place and were probably used to mark boundaries.

Hello there, the 3rd volume of Z I N V M M´s “Ambient works” series is now available for free download at the bandcamp site. And well, what´s this “Ambient works” thing about?. That´s simple: sonic pieces based on layers of sounds, drones, loops, some acoustic instruments & electronics, with a different approach on what we all know as “music”. As you know, on Z I N V M M´s discography you can listen to such different styles & sounds as black metal sounds, sometimes folk songs, sometimes droning or electronic sonic pieces, repetitive compositions; btw, you can expect really different things coming from here.
I know that it can create some confussion on anyone who spends time listening to all this stuff. As (almost) everything in this world, it has an explanation: first of all, ZINVMM is a not exactly a one man project. ZINVMM is an international and open collective of musicians & artists who cooperate around the idea of making intense, honest and absolutely FREE music with no commercial purposes or commercial intentions.
Hope these words can help you understand what´s this all about (more or less).
But now, let´s talk about “AMBIENT WORKS, vol. 3″: meanwhile, waiting for ” B E L T A I N E ” to be released, there was a sonic piece to be released before. As it´s said on the bandcamp site, “Ambient works” is:
“…an aperiodic series of ambient-drone recordings”.
In this case, this 3rd volume is an 11 minute sonic piece is influenced by the works of Pink Floyd Ummagumma era, Oren Ambarchi, Jacob Kirkegaard, Bohren & der club of gore, Charlie Haden, Tangerine Dream and Eliane Radigue.

This song is not a "BELTAINE" advance, and this song won´t be included in the album.
"BLEDHEN" was recorded on "BELTAINE" sessions, but it didnt match in the context of the album for different causes; so, this song is right here, right now not as a "minor composition"; the cause of not being in the album is not that I consider it a worse song than the rest; also this is a song that won´t be included on next ZINVMM´s works, because the new sounds and the new songs of this project are in really different direction.
This song is a gift for all you people who enjoy this music.
