IMPROMTUS AD MORTEM is a Colombian Gothic metal band founded in 2003. IMPROMTUS AD MORTEM has had the opportunity to be part of great posters in big shows like ROCK AL PARQUE 2007 and has been on stage with groups like AFTER FOREVER and WHITIN TEMPTATION (Netherlands). IMPROMTUS AD MORTEM presented their first musical issue in 2005 with its homonymous demo ‘IMPROMTUS AD MORTEM’. They introduced their first album in 2007, named ‘INFORTUNIO’, and in 2010 they labeled the EP ‘EDEN A LUZ CENTURIA’ (Salute Records, 2011), an independent Swedish label. The band is now working on their next production ‘RENACER’.
The band's musical approach is marked by their unique style, printing on a determinant classical instrumental ensemble sound and incorporating it into the dense, aggressive and contrasting Metal riffs. Their sound casts two types of instruments that transcend the barriers of time, pushing the boundaries of electric and acoustic sound compacted together in the well-crafted harmonies that make a real way impromptu. The exclusive representative voices of dramatic music of the Golden Ages in Western culture, such as a soprano and a bass truthfully interpret feelings of humanity in a present-fed trivia, highlighting the perfect balance between humanity and bestiality, between beauty and cruelty, between light and darkness. What's more, torn voices appear and disappear as musical forms in various structures, melodious lyrics, gutturals, instrumental solos, melodic atmospheres, times and setbacks, determining the strength and length of all the nuances, as they appear new counterpoints that are forged into rough melodies. These interventions work combinations and arrangements arising from the violin, cello, oboe and piano; weighed by the energetic intervention of drums and the bass guitar.
