The human eye can only process 10 to 12 separate images per second. That's why some sights can only be fully appreciated in slow motion like that viral close-up video of an eagle flying towards the viewer -- incredible harmony of motion. How 'fast' we process sound, specifically music, is a different matter all together. Over time, your ear can be trained to hear, process and appreciate the underlying harmony and nuances of music performed at blazingly-fast speeds while the untrained ear will only hear blazingly-fast note sequences.
