Coheed And Cambria - американская прогрессив рок (нью-прог) команда со всех уголков штата Нью Йорк, США. До 2001 года группа носила название Shabutie. Coheed And Cambria делают музыку, как это ни удивительно, по мотивам комиксов, написанных фронтменом группы Клаудио Санчезом. Зовут эти комиксы The Amory Wars. Каждый альбом - это глава одной большой истории, преподнесенная в музыкальном плане. И таких глав будет пять (в данный момент готово четыре). А преподносят музыканты все очень даже странно - первая часть истории давно существует на бумаге, а вот музыкальная будет выпущена самой последней. The Amory Wars - это научно-фантастические комиксы, на написание которых, как признаются музыканты, повлиял никто иной как Джордж Лукас со своей космической сагой Star Wars. Чтобы разобраться во всех понятиях (если, конечно, интересно, о чем песни) можно посетить глоссарий в википедии. Санчез несколько раз говорил в интервью, что он завидует тому периоду музыки, в который жил его отец. Поэтому на группу оказали влияние Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Police, Queen, и Thin Lizzy. Но несмотря на это он ещё добавляет в этот список пост-хардкор группу At the Drive-In, и пионеров хэви метала Iron Maiden.
