Silvia Nakkach is an award winning composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, author, and psychologist. She graduated from the National Conservatory of Buenos Aires, Argentina in piano and voice performance. She holds Masters Degrees in Music Therapy and Psychology from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and in Music Composition from Mills College, Oakland, California. She has earned credentials in Psychodrama and Gestalt Therapy. Since 1982 she has studied raga singing and North Indian classical music with Maestro Ali Akbar Khan.

Silvia Nakkach integrates insights from her cross-cultural investigations as a singer-composer, music therapist, and educator into unique musical form that wanders through a combination of world instruments, cello, glass instruments, repetitive patterns, chants, and indigenous songs to create a soothing and uplifting sonic massage. Composer, singer, author, music educator, and psychologist, Silvia Nakkach holds master's degrees in psychology and music, and is an internationally accredited specialist in cross-cultural music therapy training and the healing aspects of the voice. She teaches as a visiting professor at universities and schools throughout Europe, North America, and South America.
Her approach to singing synthesizes classical and indigenous music systems, consciousness studies, and expressive arts-therapy techniques. She is a pioneer in the research and application of vocal arts in Western health-care centers. She is the director of the Vox Mundi Project, an international project devoted to the performance, preservation, and education of shamanic vocal arts. She offers lectures, workshops, and performances around the world, and maintains a private practice in voice healing.
