For the past decade, Funk Flush has been one of the most prominent rap-crews on the Dansih hip hop scene.
The three members Tjes Boogie, Creative and Knox, joined forces in 1992, and Funk Flush were soon underground favorites in Copenhagen. In the first year, the group won the competion "Rap Crew of the Year", competing against some of the best Scandinavian rappers, and later same night signed a management deal with a production company in USA.
Due to the management deal going sour, the crew never got the success they first seemed destined for, and for the next years each member pursued solo careers, while still representing Funk Flush.
Tjes Boogie released the album "Hellborn", and marked the first official release ever from Funk Flush, who, as a crew, was featured on two songs on the album. Tjes also worked closely together with Scandinavian hip hop stars like Petter, Clemens and Tommy Tee.
Knox appeared on the Danish Grammy-winning and "gold"-selling album "Sådan er reglerne" from Den Gale Pose, and popped up on various remixes.
Creative released an EP in Denmark, three 12 inches released in both Europe and the USA, appeared on songs with famous American rappers like Freestyle and MHz, and appeared on the Danish soundtrack "Pizza King", one of the best selling Danish movies in Denmark 1999.
Following on the great reviews of the two Funk Flush tracks on Tjes Boogie's album "Hellborn", Funk Flush reformed as a group and has just released their debut-album "Barfly Legends", featuring guests appearances like Shirley, Outlandish and Majid, with production from Copenhaniacs, Loungers, Den Gale Pose (Madness 4 Real) and others.
Funk Flush is rapping about everyday life as they see it, with focus on the elements of hip hop, and of course, the lifestyle of a rap artist living in Copenhagen. Inspired by rappers from the old, the new, and the now school, they are not limited in just one flow or style, showing diversity on every track they appear on.
