Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Brown (née Jackson; born May 29, 1950) is an American singer professionally known as Rebbie Jackson /ˈriːbi ˈdʒæksən/. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, she is the eldest child of the Jackson family of musicians. She first performed on stage with her siblings during shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in 1974, before subsequently appearing in the television series The Jacksons. Her sister was born on Jackson's 6th birthday. At age 34, Jackson released her debut album (1984). The album featured songs written by , , and Jackson's younger brother , whose contribution (the title track "Centipede") became Rebbie's most successful single release. By the end of the 1980s, the singer had released two more albums in quick succession: Reaction (1986) and R U Tuff Enuff (1988).

Following a 10-year hiatus in her musical career, Jackson returned with the 1998 album Yours Faithfully. The production of the album, her last to date, was a collaboration with artists and producers such as 's Spanky Williams, Keith Thomas, and Eliot Kennedy. It also featured contributions from her children. In 2011, Rebbie embarked on the "Pick Up the Phone Tour," which is dedicated to teens who have committed suicide all over the U.S.
After ten years of inactivity, Jackson signed to MJJ Music, a label operated by her brother Michael. She received a major boost from Michael, who assisted in the production of the album, and provided backing vocals on the track "Fly Away", which Michael had previously recorded for himself in 1987 for his album , but it did not make the final tracklisting. The album had a plethora of producers including Eliot Kennedy, , Keith Thomas, Antonina Armato and Michael Jackson, among others.
Jackson's 1984 single "Centipede" also appeared on the album in its original extended version, as well as the singles "Yours Faithfully" and "You Take Me Places". The title track peaked at number seventy-six on the Billboard R&B chart. The album also includes "I Don't Want To Lose You", a duet with R&B group , whom were also signed to the same label.
"Baby, I'm In Heaven" was originally co-written and performed by R&B singer on his 1992 eponymous debut album.[1] It was later to be recorded by Tejano singer Selena who was murdered at the age of 23 on March 31, 1995.
"Koo Koo" was covered in 1998 by female R&B group .
The afore-mentioned "I Don't Wanna Lose You" is a cover of ' song from their 1975 album Pick of the Litter.
