This is not a typical MRL show, as the band is in front of a small audience in the studio and all the music is played live, no prerecorded music. It is the usual host/call-in Q&A. The live songs are outstanding, tho, as is the quality of the recording. I recorded it myself on a Nakamichi MR-2 cassette deck. Transferred to a Tascam CDRW-700 standalone CD recorder. FM > Cassette > CD > EAC > FLAC 6. No artwork. Runs 73:48.

NOTES: Before the conversion to flac, I created a md5 checksum file & a shntool_len file for the original wav files. There is a brief "Garbage has just took the stage" introduction before "Queer" and about 2 more station ids. There is also a frequency analysis "screenshot" taken before the wav file was split into individual wav files. Adobe Audition was used to lower the db level of the capture from TotalRecorder and split the wav file.

This a very good sounding and aslo a pretty rare recording. It's notable for the preformance of the Ramone's Can't Seem To Make You Mine (a studio version was realeased on one of the singles), as well as the non-album track #1 Crush. Also, Shirley gets completly lost in Only Happy... and pretty much laughs instead of singing for the last bit of the song.

TheLibr8r's Notes: Okay folks, this is probably my favorite Garbage bootleg. First of all, the quality is so good that you'll swear it's an official release. This is the infamous performance where Duke's amplifier catches fire mid-set during "Shut Your Mouth". It's really not a big deal and is pretty funny but you can tell Shirley is incredibly nervous and quite upset. After the techs got a back up rigged, the band continue for one last song. Tracks 12-15 are an FM broadcast from the Chicago radio station WXRT at the Virgin Recordstore on a previous date. Covers are included in the torrent. This was a pain in the ass to FLAC so I hope you enjoy it:)

This is a show a friend of mine recorded. I am seeding it with their knowledge. The mics are core sound with a bass roll off filter. The MD player is a Sharp using manual levels. My first concert at this famous venue and I have been a fan ever since. A great show, even better than the 2005 show at this same venue with the band very energetic. We got the traditional story from Shirley about the band's first ever show at the 7th Street Entry which is located in the same building. Gwar played the same night and she tells the story much better than me.
The 4th show I recorded via stealth and the sound is excellent though the bass was very high mainly due to Garbage's obsession with pumping the bass up to 11.
There is another source recorded by a friend of mine closer to the PA. His tape has a little more audience noise than mine.

Yes, there was lossy compression on the line between the festival and the studio, but it is the only source.
The few dropouts were caused by the overload of the Internet connection between the festival and the studio. They even had to shut down the Internet cafe and the computers at the press center on the festival to prevent more dropouts.
