В июне 2005 года, Mark Doyle, основатель Hed Kandi, покинул собственноручно созданный лейбл. Не вполне понятно что натолкнуло его на это решение, вероятно что он оказался под давлением тех кому лейбл принадлежал в действительности. Будучи несогласным с решениями руководства, Mark решил основать собственную компанию, где решать что делать мог бы уже только он сам.

Решение Марка поддержала большая часть его команды: менеджер Nadia Rifaat, иллюстратор Jason Brooks, большинство диджеев: Andy Norman, Rob Wilder, Jon Jones, Mike van Loon, такие исполнители как Bonnie Bailey и Peyton.

Осенью 2005 года был основан лейбл Tokyo Project, под маркой которого было выпущено 4 диска. Первый диск, Tokyo Project - Introduction - являлся промо-диском последовавшего трехдискового микс-сборника The Collection. Tokyo Project так же провели несколько вечеринок в Англии и Европе, после чего за лейблом началась юридическая охота со стороны, вероятно, текущих владельцев Hed Kandi. Mark Doyle был вынужден закрыть этот проект с тем чтобы основать новый лейбл, учтя все юридические тонкости. Проект получил название Fierce Angels.

Марк Дойл, уходя из HK:

«Проблема в том, что я никогда не владел Hed Kandi. В течение семи лет я работал над созданием и процветанием лейбла как любой другой сотрудник среднего звена за определенную зарплату. Возможность владеть его частью была для меня закрыта. Я встал перед выбором, либо все время оставаться привязанным к своему детищу, и быть проданным вместе с ним новому хозяину как крепостной, либо делать что-то новое, но полностью свое.

Вне зависимости от того, позволялось ли мне это делать, но я старался влиять на содержание, всячески отгораживаясь от коммерческой направленности, диктуемой свыше. Зато в плане креатива меня никто не ограничивал, давая полную свободу действия. Другой момент — сложность работы с таким крупным брендом. Он стал настолько популярным и мощным, что уже не мы диктовали политику, а он влиял на наши решения. Поддерживать его известность могла только профессиональная команда, таковыми и являются Ministry of Sound. Лучших покровителей для Hed Kandi трудно представить. А публике все равно, кто стоит за ее любимыми пластинками.

Возможно, новые хозяева сделают лейбл более коммерческим, что привлечет к нему больше публики. Так что может и хорошо, что теперь не мы ведем проект, они справятся там, где мы бы наломали кучу дров».
