These English lads sound like theyґve been writing riffs for a long time but seldomly sit down and arrange the songs properly. They might not think itґs essential but a song really elevates its status when it has decent structure. This is fun music, unadultered, melodic, odd and, well, thrashy. Think of vintage MEGADETH with a Jeff Watersґ trainee onboard, throw in some of MACHINE HEADґs neanderthalish breakdowns and screamo vocals and you have the genre I just mentioned above.

Ok, so I might have been too hard on the guys and their songwriting. Some songs do have enough variations, fast parts are balanced with calmer sections that are soon replaced by some fast shredding and some more thrashtastic riffage. Still, songs like “Pretty Girls (Get Split)” and “Twist”, I wish, had more logical structural buildups. But then again, you have metalfeasts like “Ridinґ The Storm”, “Warrior” and “Careless Talk” evening things out with their relentless riffs and soloing.

The vocals are the main flaw here, theyґre just ruining it for me. I donґt think the guy really cares if his harsh shouts lack power or his high school Metalcore-wannabe vocals are carelessly executed (as youґll hear on “Bullet Of Tranquillity").

I had a feeling Casket Music were responsible for this release, they have a knack for signing bands with something thatґs just tad offbeat with the norm. Anyway, this album, while a bit hectic in the songwriting and vocal department, does have some momentarily enjoyable songs.
