Rhapsody was originally formed under the name Thundercross in 1993 in the city of Trieste, Italy. In 1994 they recorded their first demo tape called "Land Of Immortals" and they were soon gaining the interest of the German label Limb Music Products who signed them very soon. The band has become famous all over the world for creating a new form of symphonic power metal mixed with majestic movie music, classical music and medieval melodies. Their first album "Legendary Tales" was released in 1997 and since then the band has become one of the leading new acts on the power metal scene.
