I think that this version is much cleaner than the other circulating versions of the transfer, and is an upgrade to what has been previously posted. Others are sourced from not so good condition copies of the records, or are incomplete with some other unrelated tracks thrown in. This 3rd transfer that I have made available is sourced from my own near mint copy of the vinyl with a fairly decent turntable (for most of the record). Keep in mind that bootleg records are usually pressed on cheap and impure vinyl using sub-standard equipment! Having said that I think this edition sounds much better than the current "complete" circulating version or the incomplete one first shared here. This now is possibly the definitive version of what is on this bootleg album at least until I can re-transfer the whole record again at 24/96.

I made this transfer around 2003 or 2004 before I knew about backing up my data files! I only ever burned a single audio CDR of this disc for my own enjoyment, before I knew anything about torrenting or trading or keeping things for posterity. In making this audio CDR I actually cut 1 song to fit onto an 80 minute disc, and at least one track was speed corrected to the best of my ability at the time. I may have sparingly used some digital de-noising on a few tracks, and also most likely also de-clicked the tracks with Wavelab. I can't remember exactly what I did (it seems like forever ago that I worked on this) and I didn't take notes on the process at the time. In preparing this torrent to post the complete album I re-transferred the missing track, and also re-did the speed corrected track at regular playback speed, and another track to confirm that my second turntable was playing at the "correct" speed. My "main" Technics turntable is currently in storeage and is unavailable for any work at the moment.

I ran the tracks from my EAC ripped CDR through ClickRepair 3.01 to further clean all the tracks (When I originally made the disc I think I used such low settings in the Wavelab de-click plug-in that it probably only removed a small amount of pops and ticks), and of course ClickRepair-ed the newly transferred 24/96 tracks and downsampled and dithered them to 16/44.1 redbook CD standard files (my original CDR was originally recorded at 16/44.1). I think that even before I put any of the files through ClickRepair they had less crackles than the other versions that have been previously posted. Although I did use some relatively aggressive settings (as I like to use as little processing as possible) I did not hear any musical content being eliminated while I previewed the removed clicks. I think the settings were reverse wavelet x3 35 declick 0 decrackle full auto mode.

If I could do the whole transfer over again today I would do much of it differently but I'm not too sure it would sound much better. What is most important is that the quality of my vinyl was (and still is) very much like new and still rarely played. I bought the records new and can probably count on one hand the number of plays it has had! I cleaned the records with a Nagaoka record roller cleaner before every play. I think I've taped it to cassette a couple times, done the original digital transfer that you have here, played it once, and now played part of it again to re-transfer some of it. I think this version of it is an upgrade to the older versions of it. I think there has to be better quality sources for all of this material available elsewhere. Until I find them all, I think this is the best copy of this album that I've heard...
