"This reissue of Tabaco's early-'70s LP expands it into two CDs with the addition of 15 bonus tracks. Desintegracion itself is a fitful alternation between wacky psychedelia and mundane blues-soul-rock, usually sounding two or three years or so behind the times, whether due to more primitive equipment, cultural distance from English-speaking rock, or both. There are some good if naïvely executed psychedelic cuts here, though, like the title song, a Santana-esque instrumental with burning organ-lead guitar interplay, funky James Brown-like rhythm guitar, and intermittent rocket-to-earth explosions and transmission blips. Also worthy of attention is "Dia Sin Luz," which after a flamenco-like acoustic guitar intro moves into a cloudy psychedelic arrangement with distorted guitar and vibrato harmonica that sounds right off Country Joe & the Fish's first album. Though that track is sung in Spanish, most of the album has English lyrics, including the maudlin flamenco easy listening pop ballad "She" and a cover of Elton John's "Lady Samantha." Although the expanded reissue boasts a lot of bonus material, all of the new tracks are in fact alternate or instrumental versions of songs from the original LP. So the profusion of extra goodies isn't as much of a bonus as it might appear at first glance, though "Desintegracion [Version II]" is worth hearing as it puts the menacing guitar and organ riffs way more up front than the LP version does."

The album was released as a local pressing with a few hundred copy's only. As bonus we have include a 2nd CD with the entire album in a complete unheard version. The second version is maybe even better than the original version, containing 2 alternate takes of the Rare Groove Take "Desintegracion", but you yourself be the judge! The CD booklet comes with great and unseen pictures and extended History written by the band itself."

"Tabaco fue un grupo underground progresivo catalan, concretamente de la poblacion "lanera" de Sabadell que en 1971 se sumo a los Maquina, Smash, Gong en el movimiento Underground psicodelico progresivo, editando para la casa de discos Spiral tan solo 50 copias de su album "Desintegracion". El primer tema "Desintegracion" es una clara referencia psicodelica del "In a Gadda dada vida" de Iron Butterfly, tal como hicieran tambien Atila en su "El principio del fin". Eduardo Gonzalez nos hace una verdadera demostracion de vistuosismo al organo junto a los delirantes solos de guitarra de Mariano Escriu. "Luego tenemos temas mas en la onda de "clavar" al rock procedente de la costa oeste americana, temas blueseros como (2) "Tabaco", o el blues psicodelico cantado en castellano (3) "Dia sin luz", o la acustica (4) "She" con un magnifico solo de organo, o el soul acido de (5) "Born to be free", o la hippie (6) "Lady Samantha" o rock and roll clasico en (7) "I feel glad" y (8) "Rollin' my thing" y para acabar un blues clasico en (9) "Fredom blues" con de nuevo otra gran demostracion de organo a cargo de Eduardo y una gran interpretacion vocal en ingles a cargo de Josep M. Abella. El resto son versiones o instrumentales de los 9 temas que componen "Desintegracion", destacando el instrumental de "She", con guitarra acustica y organo. La musica de tabaco comparada con la realizada por Smash, Vertice, Maquina, ect.. creo que nada tiene que envidiarles, muy bien ejecutada instrumentalmente, sin complejidades pero muy underground para la epoca."
