При составлении коллекции хотелось с одной стороны как можно полнее отразить творчество Чета Бейкера и при этом свести к минимуму дублирование. Коллекция разделена на два раздела: «Альбомы» и «Компиляции». В раздел «Альбомы» включены изданные при жизни Чета Бейкера записи или переизданные позднее под теми же названиями компиляции. Также сюда вошли посмертные издания с материалами, не издававшимися ранее. В названии отражена следующая информация: год издания альбома – название оригинального альбома(название аналога)(количество дисков в издании) год записи альбома (год издания альбома, с которого сделан рип) В разделе «Компиляции» находятся альбомы, содержащие материалы оригинальных изданий с добавлением различных записей, отсутствующих в разделе «Альбомы» (даже если это только один трек). Также в этот раздел включены альбомы, записанные с наложением партии гитары (1952-1962 - Chet Baker Sings (with Russ Feeman and Joe Pass)) и оркестра (1986-1988 - Chet Baker with Strings - Heartbreak) на ранее созданные записи Чета Бейкера. Joins the Gerry Mulligan Quartet. First studio recordings, national successes. 1953 On the road with his own quartet, featuring Russ Freeman. Wins several polls, gains popularity as a singer as well. 1955 Goes on a lengthy tour of Europe. His pianist Dick Twardzik dies in Paris. 1956 Back in the USA, Marries Halema. In prison for possession of hard drugs. 1957 His son Chesney is born. 1959 Back to Europe after another prison sentence. 1960 Meets Carol Jackson. 1960 In an Italian prison for sixteen months because of several drug-related offences. 1961 Released from prison. Wanders around Europe, is banned from several countries. 1962 Son Dean (by Carol) is born. 1964 Switches to flugelhorn, Returns to New York with Carol and Dean. Marries Carol. 1965 Starts making a series of commercial recordings with the Mariachi Brass et al. Performs sporadically.
